Liwa College library users like instructors, students, and staff on both campuses, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

2. What can I request through interlibrary Borrowing services?

The reference books which are not available in the Liwa College library in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses and e-resources which are not available in the databases available in the Liwa College should comply with the copyright policy.

3. What cannot be borrowed through interlibrary Borrowing services?

Books that have only a single copy in the Abu Dhabi University Library collection. Academic textbooks. Materials and e-resources should be protected under copyright policy.

4. How many books can be borrowed by the user and for how long?

Just one book for seven days.

5. Can the user renew the book?

No.

6. How do we start applying?

You can submit a request through the online form available on the library portal and college website. (https://library.lc.ac.ae/serviceForms/468)

7. How do you know the available resources in the Abu Dhabi University library?

Please access the link below (OPAC ADU Library) and screenshot the University College: https://adu.on.worldcat.org/v2/. After searching for a resource, please choose the Abu Dhabi University (left side).

8. How long does it take?

If the book is available in the Abu Dhabi University Library, then on Mondays and Wednesdays, Liwa College Library, in coordination with the facility department, will arrange to send the books to the Liwa College Library, and the institution will email the requester to collect the books from the library.

9. Where can I return books borrowed between libraries?

From the requested library.

10. How will I know if the book has been returned from my account?

The book return form will be signed and the user will receive an email.

11. Are there fees for borrowing a book from another library?

No.

12. Is it possible to submit a request for any electronic resources?

Electronic resources without copyright can be requested. Please note the disclaimer below:

• The ILL agreement excludes document delivery of electronic resources that do not support the respective license agreement and/or for which “walk-in” use is stipulated, and/or enrolled/employed status is required.
• Any photocopying of resources must meet UAE and international copyright standards and the copyright policies of the respective libraries.
